Hey Gavin, Guess you’re a bit busy right now with NABC but one question on board 4. I wasn’t sure whether transfers after 1M X were on after an overcall and negative double but thought maybe they were and bid 2H which works out great on this hand as you said. I checked back in the lesson notes for that lesson though and couldn’t find any examples over an overcall. There is a difference here as, clearly, there is also a cue bid available - how do you work that. I’d have thought that 2D shows hearts, 2C transfer into the cue bid shows a limit raise of spades and 1NT shows clubs but not sure if that’s right. Could you clarify please and also, do you have any more examples of transfers after 1M overcall X ?
Yes the transfers should also be on after a negative double. If you bid the suit below a cue bid, it transfer to the cue bid and shows a good raise.
