Hi Gavin - agree of course about passing 3C on board 4 but what if S has Kx in clubs - this can be really good or really bad for 3NT depending on the quality of partners clubs - do you use any conventional bids to ask partner about suit quality ? Related question - I see you’ve done a lesson of bidding over opponents pre-empts (not done this one yet) have you also done one on responding to 3 level pre-empty ? Thanks
I don't see a 3♣ bid on board 4, did you mean a different one? I don't think there is a lesson on responding to preempts but that is a good idea.
Hi Gavin - could the 5C bid on board 3 be read as exclusion KCB ? Would that be an agreement thing or is there a reason why it would not be when C is the opponents suit ?
Exclusion KC is always a jump, usually a big jump. That wouldn't apply to 5♣ here.
