Do you use 2-way Drury or only 2C ass Drury?
Only 2♣. I did a full elaborate lesson on it. The most important thing is that you are being very aggressive to bid drury, not waiting for 11 points.
Board 11 In the scenario when south is too weak for 1N or reverse and raises with 3c support, how would the partnership find a 44 spade fit, assuming N was 44 in the majors?
They would only find it if north was strong enough to invite game.
Hand 1, I thought drury ws on lyl for the 3rd place opening I though you one full with 4th hand if everyone passes
Drury is definitely played in both 3rd and 4th seat. Using 2♣ as the limit raise is very valuable even when partner usually has a full opening bid (we sometimes open aggressively in 4th seat, particularly with 5 spades). The 2♣ natural bid showing 10-11 points and a 5 card suit will come up about once a year. The 3 card limit raise comes up all the time if you are good about using drury with (8)9-11 points. Being able to stop at the 2 level on limit raise hands has a lot of value. Its standard to play drury over both 3rd and 4th seat opening bids.
Board 2 West did bid 2♦ at our table. What should North bid if anything? East then bid 3♦. What does South bid ?
I would pass with the north hand over a 2♦ bid, but its an annoying bid. You'd like to make a negative double but I think with 3 diamonds and no clear direction if partner doesnt have a fit we have to pass. After 2♦ pass 3♦, I would typically double with the south hand. The opponents are preempting, partner rates to have something and I have short diamonds and support for the other 3 suits.
