Hi again - general question that came up on board 6 - you always seem to cue bid to show a good hand in competition with either 3 or 4+ trumps. I’ve read others suggest 2S here would be 3 and 2NT would show same strength with 4 perhaps with a bit more offense and a bit less defensive values. What are the pros and cons here and what is 2NT here if it’s not 4 card support invitational ?
That method is very common in Europe, and many experts in the US play it as well. The advantage is opener can bid more accurately when they know the level of fit. The disadvantage is you lose the natural 2NT bid.

Hi Gavin et al. On boards 3 and 5, playing weak NT, North on board 3 and South on board 5 opened 1NT in third seat. Next player bid 2D multi Landy showing a 6 card major, then advancer bid 4C - I checked back on the notes to the multi-Landy lesson but I don’t see a response of 4C to 2D mentioned - what does this, or other 4 level bid mean in this context please. Lia was playing EW in both cases. On board 5, 2D bidder then continued with 4D and advancer with 4H - not sure of the meanings of these bids either. This obviously doesn’t happen on these hands if playing a 15-17 NT but guess it could occur on others so I’m interested to know what these sequences show. Thanks in advance.
I am not sure those bids have special meanings. They are very unusual and I haven't seen them. I would just take them as natural with very long suits I guess.
Okay - they didn’t seem to have a good enough suit for a natural bid at the 4 level here - perhaps I’ll ask Stefan at Intobridge if he has any idea what Lia means here
Interesting update on this - Stefan explained that 4C asks partner to show their suit by a transfer, 4D asks them to bid their suit directly so that you can always play 4M from what you think is the right side - guess you would usually want the 1NT bidder on lead and this can always achieve that - interesting treatment - new one on me for sure.
