B3. this in confusing. In your post mortem 10/27/2023 https://wolpertbridge.com/article/10272023-qa-session you say systems are off in competition but the reverse still shows strength. Can you clarify. Thanks
There is no lebensohl in competition but a reverse still shows a strong hand. So 2NT by responder is natural and non-forcing, and going back to opener's first suit is not forcing either. To force, either jump or cue bid.
On board 8 you confirm you play support doubles opposite 1D (which I've seen in your other classes as well). Is this true for "some", or for "most", advanced and expert players now? If "most", then we'll adopt it too (despite ample published systems that play this double as 18-19 with no Opp Stop. I haven't surveyed the field but I am confident it is correct to play it as support. I know that in my circles we all play them on for diamonds. I've had many examples of hands where I gained from playing them. From a frequency standpoint it isnt close. Remember a lot of the hands with 18/19 without a stopper have 3 card diamond support and can start there.
On board 1, Against the robots, west bid 3NT, north doubled and I bid 4S
