Hi, I would like to learn more about 1NT-(3C)-3H(transfer to spade) you mentioned in board 3. Which lesson should I get? Is it in "Dealing with Interference after 1NT"?

Board 2: I kinda understand opener's 3NT rebid, but still have some questions. When/why should I use this instead of a jump shift? When the hand is semi-balanced, 6322? How does responder decide whether to correct to 4♠? Based on shape? In this case, with 2 spades, I would have reasoned that an 8-card trump suit was safer and gone to 4♠. Is that wrong? I want to avoid bad 3NT contracts; maybe we have an unstopped suit. Also, what if responder is at the top of their 1NT range, say 11-12? Slam is not out of the question. Bidding 4♠ is going to end the auction, but what would 4 of some other suit mean? A control bid? Responder hasn't agreed to spades, so could it possibly be misinterpreted as a proposal to play in some other suit? And if responder bids 4NT after this 3NT, is it RKC for spades, or quantitative invite to 6NT? Could opener have more than 19? Or in that case would they have added 2 points for the spade length and opened 2♣? Looking forward to a class on jump shifts / fake jump shifts that lays this all out. :-)
3NT shows 6-3-2-2 with solid trumps and aroud 18-19 HCP. So when you are looking at stoppers in the other 3 suits, 3NT will usually be just as good. Slam is usually out of the question unless responder also has a source of tricks. So if they pulled 3NT to 4 of a suit I would think they are showing a good 5+ card suit looking for slam. We will only ever play this hand in game in 3NT or 4M. In practice this isnt going to come up so I wouldnt spend a ton of time worrying about it.
On Board 6 if the bidding goes 1♠ P 2♣, Is 2♠ by North still Michaels ? Seems they are in a game force, partner must be broke!
It is still michaels, but yes you should be very distributional to risk coming in after the opponents have already said they have game values. It is incredibly easy for them to double you. I would be at least 6-5 to make that michaels bid.
