On board #!, when you gave an illustration of opener having KQx-xx-xx-AKQxxx, in the auction 1C-1H-2D-2H, you offered X to show extra values, would 2S instead of X be natural or show a stopper?
2♠ would be natural and typically show 4-6. I would usually double anyways in that spot when i just have 4 spades and 5 clubs. (in case partner wants to convert double by passing). There isnt much urgency to showing 4 spades in this auction since partner didnt make a negative double. 2♠ isn't "showing a stopper". You would always start with double with any hand that was probing for 3NT.
In board 7, after 1nt pass, shouldn't north bid 2c crawling stayman?
Its not my style to do that with 4-4, but it certainly could be the right bid. It will obviously work any time partner has a 4 card major. When partner doesn't though it isnt clear to me we would rather be in a 4-3 fit (if we have one).
Please do that count based leads lesson. I think too many of us are still using beginner techniques.

Hello - On board 4: West's and East's bids have shown approx 1/2 the points in the deck. Since North has 19 hcp, North knows that South has few, if any, points. Why would North double a 2nd time or double and jump to 3H? Couldn't North just double and bid 2H since it is unlikely that South can help North get to game? What am I missing?
Its still possible that partner can have an ace, which is what we need to make game. Game is possible with half the deck if you can build it with fewer high cards. (opener can have 10-11, responder can have 5-6) Its fine to bid 2♥ but there isnt really a cost to doubling again and bidding hearts on your 3rd turn. Partner will only get excited if they have a trick for you.
Board 1. I play these hands after your game under the assumption that you have programmed the three robots to play according to how you would play the hand. If that’s incorrect, that blows up my play. My auction went - P-1NT-2H (ml) 3H-P-4S-P 4N-P-5D-P 5S——- . Down 3 . E/W misbid, but since you started the video showing a possible East opening of 1NT, I think some players would open that way. Would N/S have benefited with that opening? Was my judgment in bidding muti-Landy with 11 hcp a decision that could have led to a worse outcome? After W’s 1NT, I thought they might have enough points to compete even though they passed. If Wwas game-going, I didn’t foresee much danger in showing my hand, though directing them to a slam in S orC was possible. Thanks.
I'm suprised the robots went insane after the 2H bid. We can't program the three robots to handle all possible outcomes in these postmortems. It is technically possible but its too much work for something we are giving away for free. We program the reccomended auction, so if you stay on the recommended path the robots will oblige, but otherwise they have a mind of their own and are probably not too strong. Its a much better idea to invite 3 friends to play these sets with you by using the @ button. This will take away the randomness of the robots. Re: should I overcall 2H. I think its the wrong thing to do, unless it screws up your opponents. You are telling the opponents that you have a distributional hand. So when it is their hand (which is very often is) it makes it much easier for them to declare the hand. (they know you have 9+ cards in two suits, so they will finesse your partner for the queens of the black suits if its close.) When you are playing against competition that dont deal well with interference, overcalls like this will have plus equity. If you are playing against pairs that handle interference well, then you have much more downside than upside.
B1 If it goes (1♣)-1♥-(2♦), I'm wondering whether it would be reasonable for North to go 4♥ on the ground of potential double fit? B8 I get that East cannot invite game. My question is whether it might be a good idea for East to skip spades altogether and respond 1NT to 1♦. Even with a four-four spade fit, it might be right to play NT; plus East does not want a three-card raise. East's hand is quite suitable for declaring NT too. In general, if the software is playing any defensive carding, I'm wondering whether you can post on your website the robots' carding.
Board 1: Its fine, just swingy. You have a lot of defense so its not clear they will make a game. You certainly will not make 4♥ with your hand so you are basically praying they have a making game. Board 8: I never bypass a 4 card major. It may be right, I just don't overthink this.
Board 6: Some hands for slam I was envisioning as W were Kxxx A xxxxx AKx, or Kxxx x Axxxx AK, and so on. What I really needed was a control rich hand with no club wastage, so I thought after 1♣ - 1♠ - 3♠, maybe if I show my shortness with 4♣, if partner blackwoods, we'll go, and if partner bids 4♦/4♥, I'll sign off. Thoughts?
I dont think you make slam opposite Kxxx x AKx Axxxx or Kxxx x Axx AKxxx. (I am assuming you transposed the clubs with the diamonds). You have too many losers to ruff in dummy so you wont be able to establish partner's clubs and get your ruffs, Even if you did make slam opposite this perfect hand, you have to be careful about pushing partner to get excited with the wrong hands.

I dont see the point of bringing diamonds into the picture. What if diamonds are their second suit and they chose to lead it against 3N?

When the session is live, people are commenting using zoom chat. Viewers cannot see other people's chat, but I can see it all. I have it set this way for my classes because I tend to ask a lot of questions and don't want people to be shy about answering. Maybe it would be better during the duplicate post mortems for me to change it so everyone can chat with eachother.
Board 7: Could you please give a reference to explain use of a negative double by North over interference over 1NT that bid 2D?
"Dealing with Interference after 1NT" is the class that I break down the negative double and which hand types to use it for. I believe I did a practice set as well that reinforces it. Since this is a topic that is so important and I am so passionate about playing this way, I should definitely put together a shorter lesson that outlines it. So many topics, so little time.
