On Board 1, E opened 1NT, S overcalled 2C (both M), as W I passed with >8. After N bid 2S I doubled, which you say is ambiguous/incorrect. But pass then x is usually TO, and here I hoped to show enough points to compete. Since I can have at the very most 7 points and 3S, what are the odds this is penalty? I wanted partner to know I am just short of bidding after 2C, and maybe partner wants to leave the double in. Or maybe opener would like to bid 2NT. I am not not sure why double is such a bad bid.
Double is a fine bid if it means what you intended. It's not usually how people play after passing over a two-suited overcall. There is still 2NT available for competing.
2 questions - I’ve tried clicking the links to play hands again above but it seems to just seat me as south - not sure how to replay the hands from the seat I played them originally. Also are there pbn files for last week and this week - I can only find the one for two weeks ago - best regards and thanks for the excellent reviews
Currently, the system automatically seats you as South. There is a way to invite your friends to sit at your table by clicking on the @ sign at the seat label and then entering your frien's email address. If you have a secondary email, you can use this feature to invite yourself to sit at the seat you prefer to. But then you need to play both hands. Regarding your second question, the other PBNs are not uploaded to IntoBridge website.
On board 7 the robot made a splinter of 4♣ over my negative double - would you bid key card over this ?
That seems reasonable. I wouldn't worry tremendously about a spade control since it seems partner needs one to have enough strength to splinter.
Board 8 - I thought you said 1NT opener makes takeout double only w 15+ outside of their bid suit?

I think you can also count the ace of the bid suit, although that should be stated more explicitly. Also like on board 8 you can be more aggressive over clubs (where partner will play on the 2 level) than over spades.

Board 2 - would you like 4S by N even if S were unpassed?
It's not unreasonable to give the opponents a problem. The clear downside is that your side might have a slam. I personally would not to it if partner were an unpassed hand. Slam just seems too likely.
