On bd 7, you said that as responder you would bid 3nt rather than show the diamonds because of your singleton club ace, Could you say more about that?
Usually with a singleton, you are worried about it being weak for notrump. But since your singleton is the ace, it's likely the clubs aren't too big a concern, so you can just focus on 3NT vs 4♠.
On Board 3 a defensive question. On trick 2 after East gives a spade suit preference. When West leads the 5 of spades are they giving a count signal? low to say an odd number of spades?
Our leads in the middle of the hand are typically attitude. If they are count, then it is either 3/5 or 4th depending on your agreement. When I lead a count card in the middle of the hand, I would lead 3rd from even, or low from odd. This situation, our attitude is known, so i would lead a count card, so I would lead the 5. I don't think it helps much in this spot.
B2 The auction went p-(2♠)-X-(3♠). Do you play X by East showing 44+ in the minors (plus good playing strength of course)? B10 The auction went 1♣-(2♣)-2♦-(2♠). Would X by East be power-showing? If so, would 3♣ be a good bid by East or too dangerous at red-red?
board 2, I just play double shows values. I don't think it promises 4-4 in the minors so much as it tells partner "It is our hand". I would double with both minors for sure. Board 10: Yes double would be value showing and takeout. I would bid 3♣ with east. I dont think it's particularly dangerous. The opponents will often compete.
