Hand 9, how is 2N used in this auctio before E rebids X: if instead 1D-1H-X-2H,2N Appears GB2N is not something you use or mentioned. Do you use it under certian circumstances?
That is the perfect good/bad 2NT auction if you play it with your partners. If I was only going to play it in one auction, this would be it. When partner makes a negative double and the opponents compete to the 2 level. If I wasn't playing good bad it would show 18/19 with only 2 card support for partner (no support double). I do whatever my partner wants with respect to good bad 2N. The only thing I care about is that there are concrete rules that I can apply to know if 2NT is good/bad.

Board 3 you mentioned ELC Double. You seem to have some distaste for it. So thinking you don't like it?
I don't play it. The question the person asked was "I thought 2♦ would be ELC" as if that is just generally accepted as the right way to play. I was emphasizing that not only is not just generally accepted as the right way to play, I don't play it.
Hi Gavin, I watched your review of 1/24/23 tournament hands and on board 1 you suggested opening 1NT with hands holding a long minor and 2/2 in two other suits even with 14+ points. Even when the two short suits held Qx in both suits. I got the following hand: K94, A9, AKQ932, 84, I wasn't sure if I should open 1N (maybe the hand is too strong) or the xx holding in clubs is a problem. What would you open? (I opened 1D in 3rd seat and the bidding went as follows: p,p,1D, 1H / X, 2H, 3NT, X/p,p,p, so I played in 3NTX and made 11 tricks. Please advice, Thank you, Vered (BBO ID: veredk))
The two small clubs wouldn't concern me as far as opening 1NT. What would concern me is that the hand is too strong to open 1NT. I would evaluate that to 18-19 Balanced.
